Tanzania is one of the most beautiful nations in the world. It is also amongst the most impoverished. With an average family income of approximately $370 per year, most families can not afford what we in the western world consider to be the necessities of life: sustainable food, medical care, clean water, adequate housing, ... or education.

Presently in Tanzania, a mere 57% of all primary school-aged children attend school. Only 7% attend secondary school. Less than 1% graduate. This is a 99% failure rate! That is unacceptable.

Brick by Brick for Tanzania!, Inc. is a non-profit organization organized to address those needs by increasing the educational opportunities for children of all ages. By building preschools, the organization:

• offers young children an academic headstart in a safe, nurturing, healthy environment
• allows Tanzanian mothers to supplement meager family incomes by taking work outside of the home
• encourages older siblings to remain in school instead of prematurely joining the workforce.

Brick by Brick for Tanzania!, Inc. matches individuals and donor organizations in the United States with Tanzanian communities that are committed to improving the educational opportunities for their children.
