On visits in 2010, the Executive Director traveled around the dusty plains of the Ngarenanyuki region - in the flatlands leading to Kilimanjaro - to find a suitable location for this new one room preschool. After discussing many prospective options with the community leaders, it was decided that the preschool - which will hold 30-40 students - shall be located on a small parcel of land that is along a long winding giraffe walking path. This path allows the students to access the school without having to cross dangerous rivers or lowlands.

The Ngarenanyuki School is funded by the efforts of Fox Point Lutheran Church of Milwaukee.
