Tanzania is one of the most beautiful nations in the world. It is also amongst the most impoverished. With an average family income of approximately $370 per year, most families can not afford what we in the western world consider to be the necessities of life: sustainable food, medical care, clean water, adequate housing, ... or education.

Presently in Tanzania, a mere 57% of all primary school-aged children attend school. Only 7% attend secondary school. Less than 1% graduate. This is a 99% failure rate! That is unacceptable.

Brick by Brick for Tanzania!, Inc. is a non-profit organization organized to address those needs by increasing the educational opportunities for children of all ages. By building preschools, the organization:

• Offers young children an academic headstart in a safe, nurturing, healthy environment
• Allows Tanzanian mothers to supplement meager family incomes by taking work outside of the home
• Encourages siblings to remain in school instead of prematurely joining the workforce.
